Job Summary
Round on postoperative patients, manage ICU patients, and provide inpatient consults. First assist on all cardiac cases, perform EVH and chest closure in the OR, and conduct thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care. See inpatient consults and participate in office consults with designated surgeons one day per week. This PRN role includes weekday, weekend, and night call requirements with an average of one night of call per week. Candidates require 2-5 years of cardiac surgery experience and relevant board certification.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 (1-2) years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience
- Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
- Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
- Available to PRN employees (with some cost)
- Call/round is 1:3 weekends
