Job Summary
Conduct daily support for adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities, managing household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and teeth brushing. Assist individuals with medical appointments, banking, community outings, and medication administration while following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines. Safely evacuate individuals from the home during emergencies and maintain all required certifications including CPR, First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program. Work part-time or full-time shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, or double shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives
- Varied interests and personal connections in the local community
- Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history)
- Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team
- Must be 21+
- reliable transportation
- valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Employees must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
- demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job
- Employee must be able to speak, read, and write in fluent English
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported
- This may include holidays, overnights, or double shifts
