Job Summary
Operate the assigned site pharmacy under the guidance of the Pharmacist in Charge, providing exceptional customer service and efficient prescription processing. Monitor patients to ensure therapeutic outcomes, minimize adverse drug effects, and consult professionally on drug therapy plans. Apply clinical skills in immunizations, medication therapy management, and travel health while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Participate in developing open communications between store staff and the pharmacy department to improve morale and support company objectives. This safety-sensitive per diem role requires a licensed pharmacist with a B.S. or PharmD degree to work varying schedules, including overlapping shifts, to meet store and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Pharmacy (B.S. or PharmD)
- Licensed pharmacist in state where working
- Knowledge of laws governing OTC drugs, pharmacy products and third-party plans
- Knowledge Pharmacy Policy & Procedure Procedures
- High degree of initiative and accuracy
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete work with a minimum of supervision under rigid time constraints
- Customer relations skills include meeting customer needs and establishing an exceptional service environment
- Demonstrates sound business ethics
- Detail oriented with ability to prioritize work
- Interpersonal skills include building relationships and conflict resolution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to effectively understand customers and employees' inquiries
- Ability to work different schedules to meet store and customer needs
- State-issued license for Pharmacist in state where working
- Immunization Certificate
- Must undergo and pass a drug test
