Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates Data Center Operations staff to maintain maximum uptime of critical infrastructure (electrical, cooling, and related systems) in a large data-center environment. Responsible for training Data Center Technicians and Facilities Technicians, scheduling maintenance and non-critical tasks, ensuring compliance with fire, life safety, and regulatory requirements, analyzing equipment performance for efficiency and reliability, developing and enforcing SOPs/MOPs, managing budgets and headcount, reviewing performance metrics (SLA, NPS, efficiency), and ensuring safe, efficient operations. Must lead by example, conduct formal training, support customer installations, manage shift tasks, and respond to emergencies. Onsite role with extensive knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, NFPA and NEC standards, safety practices, and data-center best practices. Requires strong supervisory and communication skills, ability to train teams, and capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly critical environment. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 5+ years in mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities
- Minimum of two years as foreman, lead or senior level technician in a critical facility environment
- Certified Electrician (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid and NFPA70E Certification during employment
- Forklift Certified
- A valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years in mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities
- Minimum of two years as a foreman, lead or senior level technician in a critical facility environment
- Certified Electrician (preferred)
