Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and manage reservations to ensure smooth seating flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area while responding to guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly. Accommodate special requests and assist in training new team members as needed. Report incidents or safety concerns immediately and follow all hotel policies and procedures. This role supports the restaurant manager and contributes to overall operations within Valencia Hotel Group's award-winning team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
- Standing for long periods
- Lifting up to 25 lbs
- Handling, grasping, and crouching as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role
