Job Summary
Quality Engineer I at Pepper Construction supports the Quality Department in developing and facilitating quality programs for multiple projects. Responsibilities include leading job-specific quality plans with project teams, conducting pre-installation meetings with trade partners, walking jobsites to evaluate work, writing quality observation reports, performing constructability reviews of future projects, and contributing to education and growth within the team. The role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and an understanding of construction processes, including building enclosure, MEP systems, life safety, and related installation techniques. Travel includes four to five conferences per year and regular site visits; the position requires ability to work on active construction sites and to coordinate with project teams and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
