Job Summary
Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student in an Early Childhood program during school hours (8:15 AM – 1:15 PM), with estimated busing time extending the shift to 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM. Manage tracheostomy care, NG tube feeding, hearing and vision impairment support, nonambulatory patient care, positioning for orthopedic needs, and medically complex monitoring. Maintain an active Illinois RN license and current BLS/CPR certification. This full-year assignment supports a student with significant medical needs, allowing you to build a direct relationship with the family while working within a supportive school-based care team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an RN with an active license for the state of IL
- Current BLS/CPR
- Tracheostomy care
- NG tube feeding
- Hearing & vision impairment support
- Nonambulatory/wheelchair patient care
- Positioning/mobility support (orthopedic needs)
- Medically complex patient monitoring
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AAC/eye-gaze communication devices
- Early childhood or preschool-age pediatric nursing experience
