Job Summary
Monitor health conditions, administer medications, and ensure student safety throughout the school day. Perform patient care duties and treatments as per care plan, including G-tube, feeding tube, tracheostomy, ventilator, and diabetes care. Provide health promotion, counseling, and education while documenting nursing notes daily. Coordinate care with families, school staff, and healthcare professionals. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods. LPNs earn $38/hour and RNs earn $48/hour. Schedule is Monday through Friday during school hours with potential for bus rides or after-school needs.
Required Qualifications
- LPN/RN license issued by NYS
- 6 months bedside nursing experience
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to work independently in a school setting
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to stand/work for extended periods
