Job Summary
Provide 1:1 support for students ages 5-22 with Level 3 Autism, assisting with daily activities like dressing, toileting, and feeding while managing challenging behaviors. Offer emotional encouragement to help students build confidence and achieve learning goals in classroom and therapeutic settings. Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement personalized educational and behavioral plans, then monitor and document student progress. Apply for substitute teaching certification within 60 days of hire, with KVC covering application costs for candidates with 36 college credits.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 36 College credit hours
- Teacher Assistants are expected to apply for their substitute teaching certification within (60) days of hire
