Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) responsible for providing one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities in the Lehigh Valley (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and surrounding areas). Key duties include supporting behavioral, social, and vocational skill development; assisting with recreational and community activities; following treatment plans and documenting progress; providing companionship and respite care; submitting documentation on time; participating in ongoing training; assisting with personal care needs as required; and working independently in home and community settings. Requires genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD, ability to work independently, a valid driver’s license with active insurance, comfort with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs, being at least 18 years old, and the ability to pass background checks. Compensation is $20.00–$25.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus; schedules are varied with morning, afternoon, or evening shifts and onboarding is paid.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
- Ability to pass background checks
- Ability to work independently
- One year of caregiving experience preferred (not required)
