Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on in-home daily living support for an adult male in Creighton, PA. Responsibilities include: assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and hygiene; supporting safe eating; offering companionship through activities; maintaining safety with hand-over-hand guidance; assisting with household tasks and routines; encouraging engagement and calm, predictable interactions; monitoring health and safety; communicating with Abound Health and family; completing documentation and ongoing training. The role is offered with flexible schedules (full-time and part-time opportunities) and includes a $1,000 signing bonus, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement. Requires 18+ years, valid driver's license with reliable transportation, ability to pass background and registry checks, comfort with total personal care, ability to assist with lifting/transfers, and comfort supporting someone who is nonverbal.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Comfortable providing total personal care
- Ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and physical support
- Patience and comfort supporting someone who is nonverbal and communicates through behavior
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — paid training provided
