Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) role providing in-home, hands-on daily living support for an adult male in Creighton (Creighton, PA) and Pittsburgh, PA. Responsibilities include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, hygiene, feeding support, companionship through activities, safety monitoring with hand-over-hand guidance, assistance with household tasks, and maintaining calm, predictable interactions. Requires compassionate, reliable caregiving with total-care needs, ability to assist with lifting/transfers, and documentation and communication with the Abound Health team. Flexible full-time or part-time schedules with paid onboarding/training, weekly pay, signing bonus, and opportunities for advancement. No prior disability experience required; paid training provided. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k) based on hours worked.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Comfortable providing total personal care
- Ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and physical support
- Patience and comfort supporting someone who is nonverbal and communicates through behavior
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required — paid training provided
