Job Summary
Provide Title I reading and math instruction to identified Title I students as described in the county and school Title I project; conduct assessments, prepare lesson plans, and maintain records; collaborate with classroom teachers and principals to develop workable Title I schedules; assist in transitions between home, school, and various program levels; develop and implement the school parent involvement program; participate in parent-teacher conferences and ongoing staff development to apply best practices for supporting at-risk students; model professional growth and collaborate with the Title I team to ensure effective delivery of services and compliance with Title I regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Elementary Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Reading Specialist (Preferred)
- Remedial Reading Authorization (Preferred)
- willingness to complete coursework to obtain Reading Specialist certification
- experience teaching at-risk students
- excellent composition skills
- computer knowledge
