1.0 Second Grade Teacher, full time, 200 day employment term, Lost Creek Elementary

1.0 Second Grade Teacher — Provides curricula required by the State of West Virginia, bases instruction on adopted curricula, and develops appropriate lessons to teach instructional objectives. Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to augment student achievement and employs content scope and sequence in planning. Maintains a classroom climate conducive to learning, follows WV Student Code of Conduct, sets high expectations, and communicates with parents. Plans, delivers, and assesses student learning activities addressing state goals, integrates technology, and supports remediation as needed. Demonstrates knowledge ofEffective School Research, analyzes test data to inform instruction, and collaborates with administration, staff, students and the public to foster positive outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to interpret data, and capacity to create a stimulating and motivating environment for students. 200-day term; requires WV teaching certificate and professional experience/education as applicable; salary based on experience and education per CBOE schedule with competitive benefits.
