Job Summary
Middle High School Science Teacher responsible for planning and delivering effective science instruction to students primarily in grades 7-8 with the possibility of teaching in grades 9–12. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district science standards; teach science concepts across physical, earth, life science, and technology/engineering; use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles; assess student understanding through quizzes, tests, projects, and formative assessments; differentiate instruction to meet varied abilities (including IEPs and English learners); integrate technology to enhance instruction and student engagement; maintain accurate records of student progress and communication; collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families; participate in faculty meetings and professional development; 184 work days per year; salary/benefits per PAT contract.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field
- science teaching license through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at the middle and/or high school level
- SEI Endorsement
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with data-driven instruction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.) and fingerprint check
