Job Summary
Special Education Teacher for Grades K-4 at Cloquet Public Schools (1.0 FTE). Collaborate with teachers and district leaders to meet the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of students with disabilities, implement district-approved curricula and IEPs, conduct assessments and diagnostic examinations, participate in PPTs, develop and monitor IEPs and behavior plans, coordinate with outside agencies, maintain accurate records, and engage families to support student learning. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Minnesota licensure required or eligible), and a Master's degree is preferred, with strong collaboration, communication, and differentiated instruction skills; willingness to travel to meetings and demonstrate ongoing professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a B.A. or B.S. degree in Special Education or a related field; Minnesota State Licensure in Special Education or eligibility required
- Current Minnesota Special Education license or eligibility
- Preferred Master's degree and ongoing professional development in special education, differentiation, and related areas
- Experience with differentiation, guided reading, and technology in educating students with special needs
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families; strong communication and organizational skills
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required
