Job Summary
Develop and implement daily and long-range lesson plans aligning with state standards for whole group, small group, and individual student experiences. Teach the district-approved curriculum using adopted instructional materials while creating a positive, engaging environment that encourages student participation. Collaborate with staff to support school-wide initiatives, evaluate student intellectual and social growth, and maintain appropriate records. Provide immediate feedback to students and communicate with parents through conferences to discuss development and the school program. Supervise students in out-of-class activities during the work day and maintain professional competence through district staff development. This 1.0 FTE role requires a valid Iowa teaching license and endorsement, with a preference for those holding a Bachelor's degree and three years of K-12 experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa teaching license
- Endorsement as required by the state
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a K-12 education system
- Knowledge of Industrial technology
- Willingness to obtain conditional certification in the field
