Job Summary
Teach Industrial Technology to K-12 students in Iowa City, IA. Develop and implement daily and long-range lesson plans aligned with state standards using district-adopted instructional materials. Create an engaging classroom environment, promote student participation, and support collaboration with teachers and staff on school-wide initiatives. Evaluate students’ intellectual and social growth, maintain records, prepare progress reports, and provide immediate feedback. Communicate with parents through conferences to discuss development and interpret the school program. Maintain professional competence through district staff development activities. Supervise students during the assigned work-day and fulfill conditions in the negotiated agreement. Assume other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required
- Valid Iowa teaching license and endorsement as required by the state
