Job Summary
Deliver direct counseling services to students referred for support while facilitating small group counseling to address shared needs. Support teachers in the delivery of universal social emotional curriculum and provide supplemental lessons to reinforce behavioral skills. Implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to foster a consistent schoolwide culture. Collaborate with school administration, the coordinated student support team, and families to ensure aligned support for a diverse student population. This interim, grant-funded position serves as the second counselor at Silverthorne Elementary, partnering with community resources to connect students to appropriate levels of care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) special service provider (SSP) license as a School Counselor, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker, or the ability to obtain
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
