Job Summary
Determine customer color and care needs to offer professional advice and recommendations, ensuring clients have the knowledge and products needed. Communicate upward and cross-functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, and follow-up plans while resolving customer concerns effectively. Maintain high standards of merchandising, placement, and signage to support brand guidelines, and stay informed on emerging trends to adapt personal sales techniques. Ensure all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly, including occasional bank deposits and cash handling. Complete the Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position. This role requires a licensed cosmetologist with one year of retail experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to shows and sales meetings at least three times annually.
Required Qualifications
- One year retail or other sales-focused experience
- Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market
- Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position
- All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of computers, ipads, mobile devices and social media platforms
- Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization
