Job Summary
Review training compliance, recruit candidates, and administer onboarding while managing employee relations, benefits, and performance. Conduct background checks, coordinate investigations, and respond to inquiries from applicants and staff. Develop HR policies, generate workforce metrics, and ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws. May supervise support staff and interns. This role supports BakeMark's multi-site operations across the U.S. with a salary range of $70,304 to $75,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational operations
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong conflict resolution and employee relations skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage competing demands
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Ability to learn and adapt to new HR technologies and systems
Desired Qualifications
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills
- Knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with employee engagement and talent development initiatives
