Job Summary
Lead Engineer, Test Development designs, develops and implements automatic test equipment and test programs for product testing and design verification to ensure robust, high-quality assembled products in manufacturing. The role may lead smaller projects and coordinate other engineers, review customer documentation, conduct research and experiments, create technical proposals and costed BOMs, provide high level test hardware/software solution architecture, develop production test strategies, and perform validation/qualification using statistical methods. Responsibilities include designing and implementing test solutions (hardware and software), system integration, qualification, debugging tester issues, and collaborating with product design teams on testability, coverage, diagnosability and user experience. Occasional travel and staying up-to-date with relevant industry knowledge are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of related experience
- ability to develop test hardware and software
- experience with test engineering and verification methods
