Job Summary
PT cashier at Specs Family Partners locations (Waco and Beverly Hills, TX). Responsibilities include operating cash register or electronic scanner, processing payments (cash, checks, debit/credit cards, or gift cards), issuing receipts, counting change, and ensuring accurate pricing. Role involves greeting guests, upselling add-ons, scanning UPC codes, redeeming coupons, and assisting with carry-outs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, follow uniform standards, and adhere to company scripts and customer-service protocols. Duties also encompass handling inventory processes, cash drops, and ensuring proper bagging and packaging. Requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, and push/pull 50-100 pounds occasionally. Must comply with safety regulations (OSHA) and state requirements (TABC/Food Handlers). Educational preference is a high school diploma or GED, with cashiering experience preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
