Job Summary
Procure goods and services for new, existing, and non-production products by reviewing requisitions, examining bids, and initiating contracts through the MRP process. Act as the communication link between internal and external customers during pre-production ramp-up and full production volume, while managing last-time buys for end-of-life products. Coordinate supplier relationships to resolve supply chain shortages, bad balances, and discrepant material, ensuring on-time delivery and purchase price variance control. Track forecast accuracy, update standard costs, and drive continuous improvement by analyzing variances to implement corrective actions. Conduct internal self-audits and ISO reviews to ensure compliance with corporate policies and maintain audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Two to Four years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes
- Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management and supplier management
- Good knowledge of the types of materials being purchased by the department
- Strong knowledge of SCM policies, and procedures and ISO standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Good negotiation and problem resolution skills
