Job Summary
Determine customer color and care needs, offer professional advice, and resolve concerns to drive color and curl market share. Create increased customer retention by building lasting relationships, providing product education in-store and virtually, and consulting professional beauty salons and licensed cosmetologists. Maintain high standards of merchandising, signage, and display techniques while communicating cross-functionally regarding sales progress and vendor assistance. Ensure all store opening, closing, and cash handling procedures are performed correctly. Stay informed on emerging trends to adapt personal sales techniques and share industry knowledge with business partners.
Required Qualifications
- One year retail or other sales -focused experience
- Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market
- Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position
- All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
- Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of computers, ipads, mobile devices and social media platforms
- Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization
