Job Summary
INDIGENOUS STUDIES course instructor for INDG 104 (Fall 2026) at the university’s Saskatoon campus. Responsibilities include teaching course content within academic guidelines, facilitating and moderating class discussions, preparing outlines and final exams, providing academic counselling, invigilating and grading mid-terms/finals, supporting students with homework and exam prep, and consulting with Department Heads on academic matters. The role supports on-site, hybrid, Hyflex, and remote delivery options, with multiple delivery methods described (On-Site, Hybrid, Hyflex, Remote Learning). Requires a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of post-secondary teaching experience, demonstrated cross-cultural awareness, and strong communication skills. The position is governed under the SASM Collective Bargaining unit and involves a unionized environment; campus: Saskatoon, SK, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with at least 5 years work experience
- Relevant experience in teaching students in a post-secondary environment
- Experience with remedial language teaching skills would be considered an asset
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be a self-motivator who can work to achieve results while ensuring attention to detail and comply with academic reporting requirements
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and the ability to speak a First Nations language are considered assets
