Job Summary
Teach Introduction to Indigenous Studies (INDG 100) for Fall 2026 in an on-site course delivery. Responsibilities include delivering course content per academic guidelines, moderating and facilitating class discussions, assigning grades, preparing course outlines and final exams, providing academic counselling to students, invigilating and grading mid-terms and finals, assisting students with homework and exam preparation, and consulting with Department Heads on academic or student-related matters. The role is offered under a unionized collective agreement with stipend-based pay per session (Sessional I–III) and involves delivery modes including on-site, hybrid, Hyflex, or remote variants as specified for the course sections. Preferred qualifications include Master’s degree with post-secondary teaching experience and cross-cultural competencies; assets include remedial language teaching experience and First Nations language skills. Campus location options include on-site delivery in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada; remote or hybrid delivery options may apply per course section.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with at least 5 years work experience
- Relevant experience in teaching students in a post-secondary environment
- Experience with remedial language teaching skills would be considered an asset
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be a self-motivator who can work to achieve results while ensuring attention to detail and comply with academic reporting requirements
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and the ability to speak a First Nations language are considered assets
