Job Summary
Teaching Indigenous Photography (INA 391AB-S01/S02) in Regina, Saskatchewan, including delivering course content, moderating class discussions, preparing outlines and exams, providing academic counselling, invigilating and grading exams, assisting with student assignments, and consulting with Department Heads. Courses are delivered via Zoom (remote) and in-person/hybrid/hyflex delivery options are described for various sections. This is a sessional, hourly-paid instructor role within the SASM Bargaining Unit; qualifications emphasize a Master’s degree with substantial post-secondary teaching experience and cross-cultural competence.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with at least 5 years work experience
- Relevant experience in teaching students in a post-secondary environment
- Experience with remedial language teaching skills would be considered an asset
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be a self-motivator who can work to achieve results while ensuring attention to detail and comply with academic reporting requirements
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and the ability to speak a First Nations language are considered assets.
