Job Summary
Teaching Indigenous Educational Professional Studies (EIND 116 S01) as a Sessional Instructor in Regina, Saskatchewan. Responsibilities include delivering course content within university guidelines, facilitating and moderating class discussions, assigning grades, preparing outlines and exams, providing academic counselling to students, invigilating and grading exams and papers, supporting students with homework and exam preparation, and consulting with Department Heads on academic or student-related matters. Delivery options include on-site, hybrid, HyFlex, and remote formats as described (on-site course with various delivery modes). Must hold a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of post-secondary teaching experience and possess strong communication skills; experience with cross-cultural environments and First Nations language ability are assets.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with at least 5 years work experience
- Relevant experience in teaching students in a post-secondary environment
- Experience with remedial language teaching skills would be considered an asset
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be a self-motivator who can work to achieve results while ensuring attention to detail and comply with academic reporting requirements
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and the ability to speak a First Nations language are considered assets
