Job Summary
Reads and analyzes schematic diagrams and circuit descriptions; troubleshoots and repairs failed products; inspects for quality; sets up and operates test sets; proves tests; performs diagnostic debugging of test equipment; supports maintenance of electromechanical manufacturing equipment; reviews Bills of Materials and Engineering Change Orders; under guidance from experienced engineers performs complex testing, failure analysis, and design verification of prototypes; works with product specifications, schematics and drawings to assemble, test, debug, repair, or modify new prototypes; maintains records of preventive maintenance and spare parts; may perform specialized trades (tooling, electrician) and contribute to inventory management. Requires strong knowledge of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems; ability to read technical documentation; familiarity with C++ and Windows applications; ability to communicate with internal customers; ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Two to four years relevant experience
- Two or three year community college diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
