Job Summary
Lead and problem solve the production cell, balancing personnel and facilitating product movement through the designated area of responsibility. Monitor conduct, performance, and contribution of cell members while performing manual assembly, operating automated equipment, and conducting inspection and repair. Compile data and generate reports on cell performance to lead the team toward meeting group goals. Recognize problems in the assembly process or with components and address them directly. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers while working with team members to achieve high quality production within tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations
- Knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow
- Knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems
- Ability to set up, operate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools
- Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines
- Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in the applications appropriate to the area e.g. : Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Documentation control systems
- More advanced manufacturing system knowledge
- Four to five years of relevant experience
- High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education
