Job Summary
Process all sales on cash registers accurately, handle various payment forms including EBT and Western Union, and perform shift closeouts while maintaining proper inventory levels. Provide exemplary, courteous customer service and resolve complaints tactfully, utilizing suggestive selling techniques to drive sales. Execute cleaning duties for site and equipment maintenance, replenish fountain syrups, and notify management of any observed dishonesty or shoplifting. Utilize POS systems, lottery machines, and food-preparation equipment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work with tools/equipment and perform duties as described above
- Ability to work as scheduled and arrive on time
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English and engage in conversation
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team as necessary
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 lbs. from ground to waist level as needed
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs. from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of shift
- Ability to push and pull with arms up to a force of 20 lbs.
- Ability to bend at waist with some twisting up to 1 hour of shift
- Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands; work requires hand-eye coordination, including climbing a ladder to retrieve materials or place signage, up to 4 hours of shift
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (preferred)
- Experience working retail sales and customer service (preferred)
