Job Summary

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas including parking structures, monitor security camera feeds, and screen visitors while managing traffic flow. Respond to duress alarms, assist with evacuations, and de-escalate tense situations with visitors or agitated patients. Observe and report suspicious activity, security violations, and safety hazards with detailed incident reports. Assist with staff and patient escorts as assigned. Full-time shifts run Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3PM, 3PM to 11PM, or 11PM to 7AM, with part-time options on weekends. Candidates must meet South Carolina unarmed security officer requirements, including a high school diploma, valid driver's license, clean driving record, and successful background and drug screening. Weekly pay, insurance packages, and advancement opportunities are provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Must Meet the State of South Carolina requirements for an unarmed private security officer
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks, including criminal history check, employment, and education verification, and meet requirements for access to sensitive information
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Work extended hours
  • Work alone
  • Work and perform under stress
  • Work in adverse weather
  • Stop, question, and detain individuals
  • Respond to emergencies with strenuous unplanned physical activity
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Sit or stand alone during the entire shift
  • Be able to bend, stand walk, squat, reach, push, pull and lift 20 pounds for your entire shift
  • Must have reliable transportation to the job site
  • Ability to function in emergencies and unusual environments
  • Mental alertness and emotional stability
  • Acuity of senses; ability of expression to allow rapid, accurate communication by spoken, written, audible, visible, or tactile signals
  • The use of corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses shall not interfere with an individual's ability to effectively perform assigned security duties during normal or emergency operations
  • No use of medications that while the individual is working, that would incapacitate, alter mental status, judgment or decrease physical or mental response times (e.g., anxiety relief via sedatives, narcotic pain medications, etc.)
  • Individuals with medical conditions which may impact the ability to perform the essential functions of the job shall provide medical evidence that the condition is controlled with proper medication and/or treatment and/or reasonable accommodations

Desired Qualifications

  • Military, police, security or first responder prior service is strongly preferred
