Job Summary
Maintain a quality environment through proper cleaning processes that meet contract requirements for Midlands Technical College. Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; clean tables, windows, windowsills, and mirrors. Remove trash, restock supplies, and prepare cleaning solutions according to manufacturer guidelines. Shampoo carpets, deep clean rugs, and sanitize door handles. Report maintenance concerns to administration. Operate power washers, buffers, vacuums, shampoo carpet machines, and scrubbers while adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE. Work full shifts standing, lifting 25 pounds, and climbing stairs without sitting except for designated breaks.
Required Qualifications

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds for the entire shift
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift
- Must be able to climb stairs for the entire shift
- Must be capable of bending, pushing, pulling, and squatting for the entire shift
- Must be capable of pushing a manual broom and mop
- Must be detailed oriented
- Must have reliable transportation arrangements
- Must be comfortable working in a school setting
- Must be able to assist with meeting set-ups
- Must not sit during the work shift except for the 30-minute lunch break and the 15-minute work break
- Must be able to operate power washer, buffers, vacuums, shampoo carpet machines and scrubbers
- Must be willing to wear all required PPE
- Must adhere to all safety protocols
- Must be comfortable working in a school environment
- Must be willing to assist others as needed
