Job Summary
Check employee badges for entry, operate truck gates for entry and exit, meet and greet visitors, perform hourly security checks, and monitor CCTV. Stop, question, and detain individuals; respond to emergencies with unplanned strenuous physical activity, including climbing stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds. Work alone in adverse weather and extended hours while adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE. Maintain mental alertness and emotional stability to function effectively in the manufacturing environment during normal or emergency operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass extensive background checks, including criminal history check, employment, and education verification, and meet requirements for access to sensitive information
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Work extended hours
- Work alone
- Work and perform under stress
- Work in adverse weather
- Stop, question, and detain individuals
- Respond to emergencies with unplanned strenuous physical activity
- Climb stairs in an emergency
- Sit or stand alone for at least two hours
- Be able to bend, push, pull and lift 25 pounds for your entire shift
- Use handcuffs
- Ability to function in emergencies and unusual environments
- Must be willing to wear all required PPE
- Must be willing to adhere to all safety protocols

- Acuity of senses; ability of expression to allow rapid, accurate communication by spoken, written, audible, visible, or tactile signals
- Use of corrective eyeglasses or contact lenses shall not interfere with an individual's ability to effectively perform assigned security duties during normal or emergency operations
- No use of medications that while the individual is working, that would incapacitate, alter mental status, judgment or decrease physical or mental response times
- Individuals with medical conditions which may impact the ability to perform the essential functions of the job shall provide medical evidence that the condition is controlled with proper medication and/or treatment and/or reasonable accommodations
- The site physician may require the candidate to obtain a letter of clearance from his/her personal physician attesting that the candidate can perform the essential elements of the job
