Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in multi-family new construction, residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Read blueprints and schematics to determine system layouts, inspect components for hazards, and troubleshoot electrical problems while adhering to safety protocols and codes. Collaborate with architects and plumbers to integrate systems into building plans, provide guidance to apprentices, and keep abreast of technological developments. Work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with travel between Tacoma and Seattle as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring manual labor and working in various conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems
- Will need to travel from Tacoma to Seattle depending on the project
