Job Summary
Medical Laboratory Scientist in Core Lab (Full-Time/Days) performs qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests on patient specimens under supervision, analyzes results, and prepares samples for testing. The role requires knowledge of the principles and clinical significance of test procedures, adherence to established standards, unit/area competency demonstration, quality control, equipment calibration/maintenance, and effective communication with physicians and hospital staff. Responsibilities include reporting results (stat and abnormal), reviewing trends with previous results, training staff, and contributing to quality assurance and departmental meetings. Certifications in MT/MLT/MLS (ASCP or NCLS) preferred, with a Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related field; experience in a medical laboratory setting is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
- Certification/Licensure: MT/MLT/MLS ASCP or NCLS preferred
- Relevant laboratory work experience preferred
