Job Summary
Directs all flight operations and ensures safety and regulatory compliance for a Department of Defense-focused aviation program in the Indo-Pacific region. Supervises recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of pilots; establishes SOPs and flight manuals; conducts check-rides and proficiency evaluations; manages crew scheduling and fatigue risk management; liaison with civil aviation authorities to meet legal/certification requirements; advises executive leadership on aircraft procurement and operational budgets; oversees the safety management system and serves as a technical subject matter expert during investigations or emergencies. Requires senior-level experience (11+ years), cross-functional collaboration, and ability to operate across multiple sites (CONUS/OCONUS) with travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- 11+ years of flight operations and senior-level leadership experience
- Experience supervising pilots and crew
- Knowledge of regulatory aviation requirements and civil aviation authorities
- Ability to coordinate across government personnel, mission partners, and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to develop SOPs, flight manuals, and safety procedures
- Experience with crew scheduling, fatigue risk management systems, and incident investigations
- Strong budgeting, procurement, and strategic flight-planning capabilities
- Willingness to travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites as required
