Job Summary
Individuals in this role provide extraordinary shopping experiences to guests and exceptional service during checkout. Responsibilities include operating cash registers, assisting guests with purchases, ensuring proper pricing and merchandise handling, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Successful candidates need strong interpersonal skills, basic math abilities for calculating transactions, and the capacity to stand for most shifts. A valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit is required. Candidates should exhibit a friendly and helpful demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- Be over the age of 21 to work at Spec's
- Maintain valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit
- Possess a high school diploma or a GED
- Responsible, reliable, and committed to providing extraordinary service
- Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Cashiering experience preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos
- Ability to communicate with and understand coworkers and guests
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers and fractions
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday
- Must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week
