Job Summary

Employment Counselor role delivering individualized employment and training services to Métis clients across Ontario. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing return-to-work action plans, providing coaching and referrals, administering client funding supports (tuition, transportation, living allowances) per program guidelines, maintaining case files, ensuring documentation accuracy, and complying with reporting requirements. The position involves managing client files, planning and executing client service plans, coordinating financial assistance, evaluating service effectiveness, organizing community events to improve access, conducting one-on-one client assessments, and maintaining audit-ready records. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-focused environment, and the ability to promote organizational values within the workplace and community. Qualifications include a college diploma, 1–3 years of experience, high technology literacy, advanced administrative and communications skills, excellent organization and detail-orientation, sound judgment and independent decision-making, capacity to work independently, and finance knowledge for budgeting and reporting.
