Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides back-office support to physicians, assists with patient exams, records medical histories and scheduling, prepares patients for testing, manages inventory and a medication sample closet, handles lab results and communicates results to patients, answers calls, ensures confidentiality, completes referrals, and trains back-office staff while delivering strong customer service and ongoing process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred
- Minimum 2 years; combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
