Job Summary
Instructional Coach/MTSS Coordinator at Talkeetna Elementary School (0.5 FTE). Works with Principal to guide instruction, coordinate schedules for delivery of instruction, coach staff on instructional practices, review data to coordinate instruction, facilitate data-dialogue meetings, deliver professional learning with staff, coordinate and lead MTSS meetings, and collaborate with regular education and special education on instruction coordination. Duties include planning instruction aligned to curricular objectives, selecting/creating materials, establishing clear lesson objectives, employing varied instructional techniques, assessing student progress with tests for formative/summative/diagnostic purposes, maintaining records, supporting behavior and classroom management, and assisting administration in policies and staff supervision. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Alaska Type A Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of MTSS, Tiered Instruction, Alaska Reads Act, Science of Reading, and Ready Math/Ready Reading Preferred
- Ability to meet Alaska Reads Act requirements
- Experience with trauma sensitive schools preferred
