Job Summary
0-19 Early Help Practitioner (Level 3) part-time role based in South Hub, working within the 0-19 Early Help Service to deliver an integrated, multi-agency approach for families. The role involves direct work with young people and families, Return Home Interviews and Out of Court processes alongside the Youth Justice Team, supporting safeguarding, maintaining accurate case records, and contributing to preventative group work and co-production with partners and young people. The post emphasizes developing services to identify needs and put suggestions into practice, with a focus on timely, effective early intervention to promote children’s welfare and resilience. The role may offer hybrid working and flexible arrangements (including part-time options) as part of Barnet Council’s commitment to flexible working and equal opportunity; training and development opportunities are provided.
Required Qualifications
- experience in direct work with young people and families
- robust understanding of safeguarding
- ability to provide high quality interventions to children and families
- strong assessment writing skills
